Magnetization

Measurement principle

The magnetization of sample M(H) is measured by a pick-up coil surrounding the sample. The pick-up coil system consists of two series-connected coaxial coils wound in opposite directions to sense the voltage signal induced by a pulsed field. The relative values of M(H) are obtained by integration of the voltage. The absolute values of M can only ascertained through subsequent calibration measurements.
